[glow=blue,2,300] Twelve pairs of claws were heard scrabbling against the rocky surface as three wolves made their ways, side-by-side, into the terrain. Gradually, they slowed their paces until stopping near the center of the area, panting and swishing their tails energeticly, yet allowing their heads to hang low in recognition to the saddening deparure to come. Long moments of silence passed before the biggest and eldest of the bunch, a slender white femora, raised her head to speak.
"Well, we've reached this far; we can't stop now. The three of us have been together for so long, saving eachother's hearts and lives with tooth and claw when necessary. But now the time has come for our separation: An old journey will end, and a new one shall begin," she announced.
"Yes, and even though we don't think it right, " the femora next to her added, "we all know we're strong enough to survive out there without eachother. We have the ability to make new friends and adapt, as we have done throughout the whole journey."
"But what about all of the memories we've shared?" the last, a younger, black male piped up, a hint of sudden doubt and fear clouding his eyes. "What will happen if we forget eachother?"
The first fem answered him after a brief hesitant. "Hex, do not fear the loss of love by separation, " she replied wisely.
"Angelfire is right, Hex, listen to her," the second female agreed. "We will never forget eachother, because we will always have eachother in the very center of our hearts. All you must do is seek belief in yourself, and you'll make new friends. I promise."
The black male, Hex, hesitated a moment, then shruggedan "Okay." The white femora, Angelfire, nodded in approval and concluded, "Right. Now that that's settled, we must be off. Another moment of being together and we won't want to leave." She seemed confident, but as she way saying the very last part, she herself had to struggle to hold back a tear. She turned to the silver femora beside her and asked, "Aluna, I'm going to Pluto, I suppose. I hear it's open for takes. Where will you be heading to?"
Aluna raised her head a little higher and said proudly, "We're heading over to Mars! It's not open, but I hear the wolven there are really nice!" Hex nodded, keeping silent.
Angelfire looked at the young brute for quite a long time, a saddness portruding in her eyes. Her and Hex were quite close, though not as mates, more like best friends, even a greater closeness than her and Aluna, Hex's older sister. She turned back to Aluna, and concluded. "Like I said, let's not waste anymore time by sitting here and staring at eachother, shall we?" she hesitated, then finished, "Goodbye. May the gods be with you both."
"Goodbye, " Aluna and Hex chanted. And with that, the three wolven simultaneously turned bolted off in two separate directions: Hex and Aluna to Mars, and Angelfire to Pluto.[/glow]
